Reading Skills, Level 01

As a Muslim, being able to read Arabic correctly is extremely important simply because the Quran was revealed in the Arabic language. Additionally, the Prophet Muhammad may Allah, the All-Mighty extol his mention, said in an authentic hadith,

((Whomsoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, will receive a reward for each letter he read. Each reward can be multiplied up to x10...))

This is truly amazing and a mercy from Allah. However, this concession is only for the one who reads the Quran in the Arabic language and no other language.

The Reading Skills, Level 01 book is taught and studied in level 01 of the Arabic Institute at the Islamic University of al-Madinah, Saudi Arabia. It is studied alongside 3 other side books, one of which (Madinah Book 01) we have also made into a course on our websites Store entitled the 'Study Buddy Course'.

Reading Skills is one of the most important steps in your Arabic journey.

Reading is a skill that EVERYONE needs! Having the ability to speak, write, and understand Arabic are also very important, but it can be argued that reading is probably more important for the Western Muslim.

Why?

Because being able to read is not contingent on being in a particular place or time, meaning that the vast majority of Western Muslims do not really need to learn how to speak Arabic (as a necessity) living here in the West. You can still fully carry out your duties as a Muslim without learning how to speak, write or even understand Arabic. However, equipping yourself with the necessary tools to help you to read Arabic properly is a skill that every single one of us are in need of.

I don't say this to take away from the importance of the aforementioned skills, as they are highly important and alongside reading skills enable the learner to be on the path to perfecting and gaining mastery of the language by Allah's Permission.

In this course you are going to learn new vocabulary, including nouns, prepositions and verbs, reading comprehension, basic sentence structure, light grammar, have access to periodic online interactive quizzes and best of all, life-time access to the recordings. The whole aim behind all of this is to strengthen your relationship with the Book of Allah, by given you the tools you need to read the Speech of Allah.
