Why is Expression Important?
If you are anything like me, one of the biggest goals and objectives that I had when beginning my journey learning Arabic was the ability to speak and communicate in Arabic. I mean, it was just fascinating to think about expressing myself in a foreign language and for a native of that language to understand me!
Whilst I now no longer believe that this should be the primary focus for learning a language, I still concur that it is a tremendously important skill to have under your belt. It is for this reason that I will be teaching the book entitled Ta'beer (Expression) as taught in level 01 at the Arabic institute inside the Islamic University of al-Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
This book covers 11 lessons in total, with some lessons being split into other segments. The lesson titles are as follows:
- Acquaintance
- Arabic Institute
- The Prayer
- The Eid Prayer
- At the Airport
- The Hospital
- Activity and Revision Unit
- A Day in the Life of a Student
- At the Post-Office
- At the Library
- Activities and Revision
This book is Madinah uni's version of Al-Arabiyyatu Bayna Yadayk but on a smaller scale.
